Garden Sundial — White Oak with Brass Gnomon
A CNC-routed white oak sundial with hour lines, Roman numerals, and a solid brass gnomon. It is 12 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches thick. It is accurate for latitudes 30–50°N when properly aligned. A correctly set sundial reads solar time, not clock time, and the gnomon must point toward true north, not magnetic north.
The oak weathers to silver-gray while the brass develops a green patina. It mounts on a post, a pedestal, or sits flat on a garden wall. It makes an exceptional housewarming or retirement gift.
