Cedar is lightweight, naturally insect-resistant, and weathers to a silver-gray patina over time. The warm reddish tone of fresh cedar looks great in kitchen herb gardens and container plantings. Deep-carved lettering stays legible season after season without fading, peeling, or washing off like printed labels.
